Tesse is an accredited Group Fitness instructor and Personal Trainer and has always had a passion for health and fitness and particular Dance and Circus Arts. Over the past 10 years Tesse has completed a CertIV in Dance and Performance at Bartuccio's Dance and has experience in Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Tap, Acro and Musical Theatre. Tips for your Students to bring out their Feline Prowess: Don't give up on yourself too easily....everything seems hard at the start. Beginners should allow at least 3 weeks of classes before you start to feel you have the feel of Pole Work. Be patient with yourself and you will get there. Favourite Pole Trick: Shoulder Mount, Handspring and push-out-cradle-superman combo :) Background/Experience: I have a background in Ballet (17 years), Jazz (11 years), Calisthenics (4 years), Gymnastics (6 years) and I have been doing pole for 3 and half years with 2 years teaching experience and 2 years competing and performing. Why do you love to Pole Dance/Teach: I love the challange you get with pole and the creation of new lines and movements combined to make an overall perfomance. I love teaching for the same reason I love doing it...its a passion that I want to share. Getting people fit and healthy has always been a passion for me and I believe that pole is an excellent way to combine fun and fitness with skill, strength and flare. Tips for your Students to bring out their Feline Prowess: In order to bring out your feline prowess you need to learn to let go...take on the challange and run with it. Have that second personality that allows you to strut your stuff, work the pole and perform without feeling embarrased :) and most importently HAVE FUN!! |

Dislikes: Injuries, negativity & onions (sorry to any onion lovers out there!) Favourite Pole Trick: Shoulder Mounts Background/Experience: Dancing is my passion so i have been doing it my whole life, I have trained in numerous styles of dance from Jazz to Flamenco (not that I would say I could flamenco dance convincingly) but I love to give every style a go. I have been with Polecatz training in pole and aerials since the end of 2010 and have loved every minute of it! Why do you love to Pole Dance/Teach: Dancing is like a drug to me, the I love the feeling you get just before you are about to perform, whether it’s on a stage or just in class in the studio, i love being able to have fun and let go. People love to surf because they love the freedom they have when on a wave; that’s how i feel about dancing. The sense of accomplishment when you finally learn a new trick is also a great, being able to share that feeling and seeing it in someone else’s face when you teach them something new is even better than being able to do it yourself. I love the sense of pride I get when I teach my girls a routine and see them having fun and enjoying themselves. Tips for your Students to bring out their Feline Prowess: If you don't feel silly then you're not moving enough! We're all here for the same reason so just have fun and let go (of your worries, not the pole....) |

Straight after my frist course I was addicted! I have gained all my skills through enjyoing myself, working hard and laughing a lot. Why do you love to Pole Dance/Teach:I love that pole dancing is interesting, fun and challenging. It is a fun way to get fit and you get to be a bit cheeky and sexy at the same time. Pole dancing has personally helped me become a more confident and challenges me to try new things all the time even if I’m still scared. I love seeing new students come in enjoying themselves and improve every week, not only in pole moves but in confidence too. Pole Dancing and Breakdancing were my options, and the pole place just got back to me first! I was learning for about a year before I started teaching in 2007. I have trained and taught in several schools in South Australia, and have also trained in Manchester, Aberdeen and Cardiff in the UK. In 2010 and 2011 I took charge of the SA heat of Miss Pole Dance Australia producing sold out shows both years before relocating to the Gold Coast Why do you love to Pole Dance/Teach: Personally, I feel pole dance allows women the opportunity to push their bodies to do things that they normally would not try or would not feel comfortable doing.
